Marrakech: An award from the U.S. Army to the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies

Ithaca, U.S.A-- the United States Army Africa Command (AFRICOM) gave the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies on Friday an award of recognition.
The center is headed by Mr. Mohamed Benhammou, who also serves as a leading member in the Moroccan PAM party. The award was given during the fourth annual convocation of the Marrakech security forum. The convocation took place on the 25th and 26th of January.
“This award is granted to appreciate the efforts of the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies and its president Mr. Benhammou and his team in working for peace and stability in Africa,”U.S. Army Africa Maj. Gen Charles Hooper said in a statement delivered in the occasion.
The United States Africa Command is one of nine Unified Combatant Commands of the United States Armed Forces. Headquartered in Germany, AFRICOM is responsible for U.S. military operations and military relations with 53 African nations but Egypt.
