Geneva International Eastern Film Festival to Present a Number of Moroccan Films

Kenitra, Morocco|A number of other Moroccan films and others on Morocco will be presented in the framework of the eighth edition of the International Eastern Film Festival l between 12 and 21 April in Geneva.


According to the festival’s artistic director Tahir Houca, the year’s event is allocated for humor and music.

The honorary chairmanship was given to Edmund Charles Rowe President of the Goncourt Academy to screen a hundred films from twenty five years.

Among the Moroccan participating films there are “Moroccan in Paris” to Said Naciri, and “The Road to Kabul” to Ibrahim Ashkira, and “day and night” to Nawfal Brawi which also exists in the official competition.

In the context of short films, there are three Moroccan films: “Margil” age Mall Aldoarh and film “on the Road to Paradise” for Eddé Bnimana, and the movie “Colors Silence” for Amaa the El Moder.

In documentaries category, there is the film “Tinghir – Jerusalem the Echoes Melah- to Kamal Hishcar.

Morocco is also presented in other foreign productions, including the film “Rabat” to Jim Tahato and Victor Bontin and “Tea or Electricity” to Jerome Lemaire, and “Aazenzarn, Words’ Weapon” to Cristian Laure which highlights the path of a Sousi musical band along with documentaries about Gnawa music titled bodies and souls “and” Night of ownership” for Frank Kasnta.

This session is distinguished due to the presence of a number of Moroccan professionals among them the directors Said Naciri, Nofal Brawi, Kamal Hishcar and the artists Turia aloui and Fatima Ouachai along with the critic Abdul Ilah El Jaouhari.
