BREAKING: Egypt court sentences to death 20 defendants over Port Said stadium disaster

Oklahoma City, U.S.A–Judge Sobhi Abdul Majeed sentences to death half an hour ago 20 defendants over Port Said stadium attack on football fans in 2012.

Judge Abdul Majeed said at the end of the court session that the verdict will be sent to Egypt’s Grand Mufti for the latter’s opinion.

The Port Said Stadium disaster is a mass attack that occurred on 1 February 2012 in Port Said Stadium in Port Said, Egypt, in which at least 79 people were killed and more than 1,000 were injured following an Egyptian premier league soccer game between Al-Masry and Al-Ahly clubs.
